The ArtLocator.io is a location based arts and culture database service. It is produced by Artorio oy.
The service hosts public art from street art to environmental art and monuments. Is also includes other culturally significant locations such as galleries and art museums.
Locations are currently added and maintained by registered art organizations. If your organization wants to participate in content creation to the service, send message to artlocator@artor.io
The project idea was created in Lapland where public artworks and environmental art are found on various locations such as villages, trails and even in the wilderness. Project was originally funded e.g. by Ministry of Education and Culture.
The ArtLocator has been developed in close co-operation with the Artist Association of Lapland. The Association has been responsible for content creation in Lapland and got EARK-funding.
